Academic Scholarships are awarded to qualified undergraduate applicants who have been admitted to Wingate University's Main Campus. After admission to the University, the academic credentials of each student are reviewed to determine scholarship eligibility. Students are notified of their scholarship award by the Office of Admissions. Please note: Students are considered for the highest level scholarship based upon their qualifications, thus, students are only eligible for one academic scholarship. The following scholarships are available through this program: the Irwin Belk Scholarship, generally awarded to students with a weighted grade point average of 4.2 or higher, rank in the top 10 percent of their class, and an SAT score of 1950 or higher (or ACT score of 30 or higher); the Trustee Scholarship, awarded to students with a weighted grade point average of 4.2 or higher; the Presidential Scholarship, awarded to students with a weighted grade point average of 3.6 or higher; the Academic Merit Scholarship, awarded to students with a weighted grade point average of 3.0 or higher; and the Gateway Scholarship, awarded to students based on demonstrated achievement and involvement.
