Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. In prior years, two scholarships have been awarded.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be attending or enrolled in an NCA- or AACSB-accredited college or university in Ohio.
  4. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program as part of a plan to obtain 150 semester hours required for the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) exam.
  5. Must be an Ohio resident.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  7. Must have completed 30 or more semester hours of college credit.
  8. Non-traditional students and veterans who meet all other eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship program is open to U.S. students who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program as part of a plan to obtain the 150 semester hours required for the CPA exam. Students must be Ohio residents attending an Ohio college/university and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Non-traditional and veteran students are encouraged to apply.

Additional Information: *Please note: To be eligible, all applicants must be student affiliate members of The Ohio Society of CPAs. Student affiliate membership is free and can be obtained by completing the membership application available online at the provider website. The Clarke Price Accounting Scholarship is provided annually in honor of J. Clarke Price, retired president and CEO of The Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA). He served OSCPA and the CPA profession for more than 40 years. To honor his legacy, the Clarke Price Accounting Scholarship Endowment was created to assist students who have the potential to be successful CPAs realize their dreams. The recipients of the Clarke Price Accounting Scholarship will exemplify the qualities and characteristics that reflect his legacy: leadership, innovation, and commitment. All applicants will be notified of the College Scholarship Program results by mail by March 1.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable. Recipients may apply for consideration in subsequent years if they continue to meet eligibility requirements. Scholarship awards are sent directly to the recipient's academic institution. Scholarships are paid in July for the recipient's fall semester tuition and fees.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications are available online on the Ohio CPA Foundation website. In addition to a completed application, each student must submit official academic transcripts from all institutions where college credit was obtained. The application must be completed online by the deadline date. Transcripts must be mailed to the address provided and must be postmarked by the deadline date.
