Number of Awards & Eligibility: The grant is to be awarded annually to one or more students.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a high school senior or undergraduate student at the time of application.
  2. Must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average and maintain it during his or her course of study.
  3. Must attend an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada that has been approved by the Committee.
  4. Must be a full-time student, as defined by the college or university.
  5. Must reside within the Archdiocese of Detroit: Lapeer, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, St. Clair or Wayne counties of Michigan.
  6. Must be Catholic.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Fund provides grants to students who meet these criteria to assist them in attending accredited institutions in the United States and Canada. The scholarship is available for high school seniors and one or more for students entering their second year at full-time educational institution beyond secondary school.

Additional Information: The Del Papa-Grimaldi-Gabriele Scholarship Fund (“Fund”) provides one or more grants for high school seniors and one or more for college students entering their second year for tuition, room and board, books, fees and similar education charges. The amount granted is at the discretion of the Committee, and each grant is anticipated to be approximately $2,000 for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Award Amount: The grant value is up to $2,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applicants fill out a form on provider website. The form asks for personal and family information, work experience, current school information and name of college or university applied for. Applicant also needs to sign a guarantee that funds will go to pay for education. Along with the completed form and guarantee, you need two letters of recommendation, an essay stating your goals, most recent Federal and State income tax returns, most recent official grades transcript, FAFSA and SAR report. Full application must be mailed no later than May 31, 2020.
