Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be in his/her junior year.
  3. Must be enrolled full time.
  4. Must be an accounting major.
  5. Must be enrolled at a Kansas college or university.

Description: This scholarship is open to college juniors who are enrolled as accounting majors in a Kansas college or university. Qualified nominees must demonstrate academic success in the accounting, economics, and business curriculums. Additional emphasis is placed upon the nominee's overall grades.

Additional Information: Qualified nominees must demonstrate academic success in the accounting, economics, and business curriculums. Additional emphasis is placed upon the nominee's overall grades. Involvement in leadership activities, willingness to comply with standards of professional responsibility, and overall moral character are important characteristics of a nominee. The Mary Ellen Kirkpatrick Leadership Scholarship Award is not based on financial need.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

Please check back in December for a refreshed application deadline date.Applications are available on the Educational Foundation of the Kansas Society of CPAs (KSCPA) website.Please note: Students must be nominated for this award by an appropriate staff or faculty member. The nomination form is included with the application. Each college/university is limited to one nominee per academic year.In addition to a completed application, each student must submit the following materials: an official transcript; a resume; three sealed letters of recommendation (no more than one page in length); and wallet-size photo.Please email one wallet sized portrait in JPG format with your name as the file title to [email protected]
