Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to 15 awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon.
  3. Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student.
  4. Must major in computer science or IT and have an interest to pursue a career in the computing profession.

Description: Undergraduate and graduate U.S. and international students who are members of Upsilon Pi Epsilon are eligible for this award. Students must submit a recommendation from their UPE chapter advisor.

Application requirements for the Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) Scholarship Award are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
  • Official Transcript
  • Curriculum vitae or resume
Additional Information: Awards will be announced on or around Oct. 1.

Award Amount: From $750 to $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,125.

Applications are avaiable on the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) website. In addition to the completed application, each student must submit a statement about his/her involvement in Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE) chapter activities, operations or projects; a statement about his/her long-term career plan(s) in the computing profession; official copies of all university/college transcripts, a detailed curriculum vitae or full resume, and a recommendation from his/her UPE chapter advisor. The completed application must be submitted in PDF format via email to the address provided by the deadline date. UPE will only accept one undergraduate and one graduate application per institution.
