Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually based on the number of qualified applicants.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must plan to pursue a diploma/degree in graphic arts pertaining to printing.
  3. Must graduate from a Maine high school. Please note: The high school must be a member of the MGAA. If the school is not currently a member, it should apply for membership before the student applies for the scholarship. There is no fee for a membership.
  4. Must be a high school senior at time of application.
  5. Must have a C average or higher.

Description: This scholarship is offered to international and U.S. high school seniors who are attending a Maine high school. Students must plan to pursue a degree in graphic arts pertaining to printing, and have a C average or higher.

Application requirements for the Maine Graphic Arts Association (MGAA) Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Recommendation letters (2)
Additional Information: The scholarship recipients will be notified by Dec. 1.

Award Amount: $150 to $500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $325.

Applications are available on the Maine Graphic Arts Association (MGAA) website. In addition to a completed application, the student must submit a high school transcript and two completed 'Candidate Evaluation Forms'. The forms must be completed by a graphic arts/industrial arts instructor and another school representative. If the student has not had any graphic arts or industrial arts classes, he/she should have one of the forms completed by an instructor he/she has had within the last two years instead. All materials must be sent to the address provided and be postmarked by the deadline date.
