Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident.
  2. Must have graduated from a Northern Nevada high school with a grade point average of 3.0 or better.
  3. Must declare a major at an accredited Nevada College or University or at an out-of-state accredited College or University if the declared major is not offered in Nevada.

Description: The Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship is available for Applicants whot have graduated from a Northern Nevada high school with a grade point average of 3.0 or better. Note: the following counties shall not be considered Northern Nevada: Clark, Lincoln and Esmeralda

Application requirements for the Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form.
Additional Information: The Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship program has endeavored to promote educational opportunities to eligible Northern Nevada high school graduates since its inception in 1986. Over the years, the foundation has helped fund hundreds of students in furthering their college education.

Award Amount: A Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship award is a minimum of $2,500 for the selected students to support the upcoming academic school year. Scholarship is renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
