Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student to apply for this award. Please note: An applicant in his/her final undergraduate year of study must have been accepted to attend a full-time graduate program in the next academic year to qualify for a scholarship.
  3. Must attend a college in the U.S or Canada.
  4. Must major in a program related to cost engineering/cost management, including engineering, construction management, building construction, the computer sciences, business, quantity surveying, information technology, etc.
  5. Must enroll full time.

Additional Information: Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic performance (35 percent), extracurricular activities (35 percent), and the essay (30 percent). The essay will be graded on the basis of content, organization, and grammar. Scholarship awards will be determined by AACE International's Education Board and checks will be distributed in August.

Award Amount: Up to $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

Applications are available on the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International website. Applications will be available online from January 1 until the deadline date. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must also submit the following: an official transcript (a graduate student must include an undergraduate transcript); a typed or computer-generated, single-spaced, one-page essay addressing the topic listed on the application; and a signature of endorsement from a college official from the applicant's academic major. All appllication materials must be submitted online by the deadline date.
