Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be entering his/her junior year, senior year, or post-graduate studies.
  4. Must be majoring in accounting or pursuing post-graduate studies with an accounting or tax emphasis.
  5. Must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher.
  6. Must currently attend one of the following institutions: California State University, East Bay; Mills College; St. Mary's College; University of California, Berkeley.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. students who are entering their junior year, senior year, or post-graduate studies. Students must be majoring in accounting and have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher.

Application requirements for the CalCPA East Bay Chapter Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Resume
  • Official Transcript
  • Essay
  • Interview (if requested)
Additional Information: All applicants must be student members of CalCPA. Student membership is free. Applicants may join online at www.calcpa.org/join or via the scholarship application. Selected applicants will be notified for interviews in November. Awards will be presented in January at the CalCPA East Bay Chapter Honorees' Night. Prior award recipients are not eligible.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $15,000.
