  2. Must pursue a degree in marketing.
  3. Must be involved in promoting electrical, plumbing, or HVAC industries.
  4. This award is for women.

Description: The Jill Pomroy Reed Scholarship is available to women who are planning a career in marketing in the plumbing, HVAC or electrical industries.

Application requirements for the Jill Pomroy Reed Women in Marketing Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
Additional Information: The Nexstar Legacy Foundation is devoted to bringing new talent into the home and commercial services industry. The scholarship program is open to qualified women interested in entering, or currently working in, the business aspects of plumbing, HVACR and/or electrical fields.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications and information are available online at the NexStar Foundation website. In addition to the completed online application form, applicants must submit the following items: Completed personal, educational and employment information; SAT and ACT scores if available; high school and/or college transcripts as appropriate; A list of community & leadership activities; one to three letters of recommendation; a career choices survey; and responses to the essays listed on the form. All applications and supporting documentation must be submitted online prior to the deadline date.
