Number of Awards & Eligibility: Three award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must demonstrate leadership within the field of public relations.
  5. Must be entering or enrolled in his/her senior year of college.
  6. This award is for U.S. students.
  7. Must be majoring in journalism or public relations.
  8. Must be planning to pursue a career in public relations.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for members of the Public Relations Student Society of America and demonstrate a potential for leadership in the field of public relations. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 and must be entering or enrolled in his/her senior year of undergraduate studies.

Additional Information: In addition to his decades of active involvement in PRSA, John D. Graham is a founder and past chairman of the Council of Public Relations Firms and member of various other public relations organizations. This scholarship is provided annually to recognize a student who demonstrates leadership in the field of public relations, while maintaining a strong academic record, and earning partical work experience.

Award Amount: One first prize award at $3,000 and two second place awards at $1,000. All awards are provided annually and are not reneable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,667.

Applications are available online from the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) website. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must submit the following materials: a resume including any academic honors, special projects, activities, work experience, or training that he/she would like to be taken into consideration;short answer responses to the prompts listed on the application form; an official nomination form accompanied by a letter of recommendation of up to two pages; and up to two additional letters of academic and/or professional recommendation. All materials must be typed. Four copies of all applications and supporting materials must be submitted online by the deadline date.
