The Grand Rapids Community Foundation awards hundreds of scholarships annually, primarily to Kent County students bound for or in college, or those pursuing a technical career. This scholarship, named in honor of Peggy (Kommer) Novosad, is provided each year to a student who has or is finishing an undergraduate degree at Grand Valley State University or Michigan State University, and continuing on at a graduate program of business or law inside Michigan. Applicants must demonstrate a high level of academic achievement and unmet financial need.
