Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be enrolled or plan to enroll in the upcoming semester in a two-year, four-year, or graduate degree program.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must have an idea for his/her own small business and be able to prepare a business plan for it.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to students who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll in the spring semester in two-year, four-year, or graduate degree programs. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and have a plan to launch a small business (must include a heavy online element).

Additional Information: Stukent is pleased to offer this annual scholarship to young entrepreneurs. This scholarship is intended to help students launch an internet-driven business. As such, business models should include a heavy online element (if not 100 percent online).

Award Amount: $500 awarded in the spring semester, non-renewable. The recipient will also receive the following consulting time: five hours with Perrin Carrell, president and co-founder of LearnU; one hour with Stu Draper, CEO and co-founder of Stukent; and one hour with Trevor Erikson, VP of marketing at Stukent.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Application information is available online on the LearnU website. There is no application form required for this award. To apply, the student must submit the following materials in a single two-page Word or PDF document: a cover page that includes his/her name, school, email address, year in school, major (if applicable), grade point average, and a 500-word essay describing why he/she would like to start his/her own small business; and a business plan that includes his/her general idea, how he/she will use the Internet to grow his/her business, planned revenue stream, planned customer acquisition, and a budget. Application materials must be emailed to the address provided by the deadline date.
