In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.
  4. Must be a woman.
  5. Must be 30 years of age or older.

Description: The Worthy Women's Professional Studies Scholarship is available for U.S. women over the age of 30 who are pursuing further education and professional studies.

Application requirements for the Worthy Women’s Professional Studies Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Application form
Additional Information: The Worthy Women's Professional Studies Scholarship is designed to contribute to the growth and progression of the of women in professional fields and higher education. Submissions will be based on originality, creativity, and focus on the topics listed on the application.

Award Amount: $2,500 for first place, $1,500 for second, and $1,000 for third. All awards are provided once and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,667.

Information about this award and essay submission guidelines can be found on Worthy.com by using the link provided. To apply for this award, students must submit an original essay of between 300 and 500 words discussing one of the three major topics listed at the provider website. Each essay must then also address all the three subtopics listed under the chosen topic. Essays must be submitted via the online application form, and may be uploaded from a saved file or copied in to the text area of the form. All submissions must be completed online and must be received no later than the deadline date.
