Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Michigan.
  4. Must be female.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  6. Must be enrolled during the grant period in a graduate degree program in information systems, business applications, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or information security.
  7. Must be currently a graduate student or planning to enroll in a graduate degree program for the grant period.
  8. Must be enrolled during the grant period in a full-time or part-time graduate degree program.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation (MCWTF) will award this scholarship to a female graduate student who is pursuing a degree in information systems, business applications, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or information security. The student must be a resident of Michigan and maintain a grade point average of 3.0.

Application requirements for the Michigan Council of Women in Technology Graduate Scholarship are:

  • Application form

  • Recommendation letters (2)
  • Personal statement
Additional Information: The merit of each applicant will be considered based on grade point average, technology-related activities, community service, personal essay, letters of recommendation and completeness of application.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, renewable for up to two additional years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications can be obtained on the Michigan Council of Women in Technology (MCWT) Foundation website. In addition to a completed and signed application, the student will be required to submit his/her most recent transcript and two letters of recommendation. The letters of recommendation should come from current or former college instructors, teachers, principals, pastors, coaches or other community leaders. Additional information or documentation about work experience (e.g. internships), awards, or other pertinent activities may be submitted along with the application. All applications must be submitted by the deadline date.
