Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must attend or plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university.
  3. Must possess an active general class or higher amateur radio license.
  4. Must be a member of the American Radio Relay League (ARRL).
  5. Must reside in the ARRL Midwest Division area (IA, KS, MO, NE).
  6. Must study electronics, computer science, or a related field.

Description: This scholarship is open to international and U.S. students who are licensed radio amateurs (general class or higher) and members of ARRL. Students must reside in the ARRL Midwest Division area (IA, KS, MO, NE) and study electronics, computer science, or a related field.

Additional Information: The Ray, NØRP, & Katie, WØKTE, Pautz Scholarship is awarded to ARRL members in the Midwest Division area (IA, KS, MO, and NE). Applicants must be pursuing a degree in electronics, computer science, or a related field of study. Recipients are typically notified by mid-May by USPS mail and email.

Award Amount: $500 to $1,000 annually, depending on funding. The scholarship is non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available on the American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Foundation website. Applications must be completed online. Students need only submit one application for all scholarships for which they are eligible. The student must provide contact information for one educational reference, one character reference, and one social reference on the online application. The student must also submit a copy of his/her academic transcript from his/her most recently completed school year to the email address provided. The transcript must be scanned and submitted as a PDF.
