In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be enrolled full time.
  2. Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  3. Must be a resident of Michigan.
  4. Must have a declared major in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering, information technology, or business.
  5. Must be a college junior or senior.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: UNCF offers the DTE Energy Foundation Scholarship Program for college juniors or seniors who are currently enrolled at any 4-year college or university and residents of Michigan and have declared majors in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering, information technology, or business.

Application requirements for the DTE Energy Foundation Scholarship Program are:

  • Essay
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
Additional Information: Selected recipients will receive between $3,000 and $5,000 need-based 1-year renewable scholarship award (for juniors) during the 2020-2021 academic school year.

Award Amount: Up to $5,000 per award offered.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.
