Number of Awards & Eligibility: Three awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international students studying in the U.S. or Canada.
  2. Must be majoring in a STEM field.
  3. Must be female.
  4. Must be enrolled at one of MPOWER's participating partner universities as an undergraduate or graduate student.

Description: The MPOWER Financing Women in STEM Scholarship is available for international women who are majoring in a STEM field at one of MPOWER's partner universities in the U.S. or Canada. Additional Information: The MPOWER Financing Women in STEM Scholarship is provided to further MPOWER’s commitment to empowering high-potential global citizens and helping them realize their educational goals. This scholarship will focus specifically on women who will utilize their STEM-related degrees to improve society and help create a better future. Award selection will consider the strength of essay submissions and the student's demonstrated potential for providing diverse representation and diverse role models in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Award Amount: One grand prize of $3,000 and two prizes of $1,000 each.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications and additional information about this award are available at the MPOWER Financial website. To be considered for this award, students must complete the online application form that includes an two essays of up to 1,500 characters in length. Essays must be written in response to the topics provided on the application form. Students must also upload a copy of a recent resume. All applications and essays must be submitted online and received no later than the deadline date. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
