Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident.
  3. Must be an undergraduate student at the time of application.
  4. Must be African American/Black.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  6. Must major in computer engineering, computer science, or mathematics.
  7. Must have attended a high school in the United States.
  8. Must reside in Northern California or be a graduate of Chicago public schools.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to African-American undergraduate students from northern California and Chicago. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and must be majoring in computer science, computer engineering, or mathematics.

Application requirements for the Oracle Corporate Scholars Program are:

  • Fin. aid award letter
Additional Information: Successful candidates may be offered internships during the summer.

Award Amount: Up to $10,000 annually, non-renewable. The scholarship is based on financial need.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.

Applications are available on the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) website. Students must apply via the UNCF online system. A completed application will include a letter of recommendation, a one-page personal statement of career interest, resume, current transcript, and a copy of the most recent financial aid award letter. Applications close at 11:59 p.m. EST on the deadline date.
