$5,000 annually, non-renewable. Once approved, the scholarship award will be sent to the respective school based on the information provided in the applications. Checks will be made payable to schools, not students, and will be mailed in early August. Requests for alternative arrangements must be submitted in writing to the RRF Liaison before Aug. 1.

The Recycling Research Foundation (RFF) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization closely associated with the ISRI. The foundation's mission is to "promote the art and science of scrap processing and recycling through research, sponsorships, technical assistance, and educational programs for the purpose of advancing the industry". Board members and their dependents of the RRF, as well as employees and their dependents of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. are not eligible to receive a scholarship. If the applicant's field of study is not listed and he/she feels it should be included, an application may still be submitted, provided it includes an essay answering how the field of study is applicable to the industry as a whole.
