Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must meet admission requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida (UNF).
  4. Must be a college junior or senior.
  5. Must be enrolled in UNF's School of Computing program.
  6. Must have earned a UNF grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  7. Must enroll full time in 12 or more credit hours, unless the student is a college student who requires 6-9 credit hours for graduation.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. juniors and seniors at the University of North Florida who have a declared major in computer and information sciences. The student must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: The University of North Florida's School of Computing is proud to offer this scholarship sponsored by Advent Software Performance Reporting. Preference will be given to students who participate in leadership, professional or extracurricular activities such as leading student clubs, participating in professional group meetings, programming contests, and taking part in developing software solutions not related to class work. Scholarship recipients must: maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; remain in good standing as a student; comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus; and consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the donor. The awardee of this scholarship will be known as the "Advent Software Performance Reporting Scholar in Computer and Information Sciences".

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.

The application deadline date has not yet been finalized for this year, but is expected to remain the same as last year. The deadline date shown here is tentative based on last year's date. Please check back after January 15, 2020 when next year's applications are expected to become available. Applications are available online on the University of North Florida (UNF) College of Computing, Engineering & Construction (CCEC) website. As part of the online application, the student must submit short essay answers (300 characters or less) describing his/her career interests, extracurricular activities, and work experience. The scholarship application must be completed online and submitted by the deadline date. Only electronic applications will be considered
