Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually, one in the fall and one in the spring.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must enroll full time (12+ credit hours) each semester and earn a minimum of 24 credit hours by the end of each academic year.
  4. Must be a college junior.
  5. Must meet admission requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida (UNF).
  6. Must be a declared major in UNF's School of Computing.
  7. Must reside in Florida for tuition purposes.
  8. Must have earned a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. college juniors enrolled at the University of North Florida's School of Computing. Students must be Florida residents and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: The University of North Florida's School of Computing is proud to offer this scholarship sponsored by FIS. FIS is a leading global provider of technology and services to the financial services industry, serving more than 14,000 clients in over 100 countries. Scholarship recipients must: maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher; remain in good standing as a student; comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus; and consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the donor.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, renewable. The amount of the award will be determined by the fund manager, but it cannot exceed the maximum cost of tuition, books, campus housing, meal plan, transportation and miscellaneous expenses, as reflected in the annual "Cost of Education" budget prepared by the UNF Financial Aid Office. Current recipients may apply for renewal and will be given preference pending availability of funding and if the applicant continues to meet all selection criteria and responsibilities. No student will be eligible to receive more than five semesters of scholarship support.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
