Additional Information

The Clay County Chamber Foundation offers scholarships to high school seniors residing in Clay County, Florida, to encourage the pursuit of continuing education or vocational education that will develop and enhance skills and knowledge in their chosen fields. Note: An additional $1,000 scholarship is offered by the Clay County Bar Association (but managed by the Clay County Chamber Foundation); it will be given to a high school senior residing in Clay County, preferably pursuing a business or law degree. Students applying for the Clay County Bar Association Scholarship must submit the online application for the Clay County Chamber Foundation Scholarship. Both scholarship programs use the same online application; there is no need to apply separately to each program. Only one application is needed to apply for both programs. Financial need is not necessarily required for either scholarship, but may be taken into consideration by the scholarship committee. All students are encouraged to apply regardless of academic merit or financial need status; the scholarship committee will consider all eligible students, and will base award decisions on the entire application, not just test scores, grade point average, financial circumstances, etc. Semi-finalists for both scholarships will be notified via email or postal mail by April 1st. Semi-finalists will be required to submit supporting documentation within five business days of notification (i.e., proof of citizenship, transcript or most recent report card, proof of enrollment or planned enrollment, one letter of recommendation, and a release form for publicity purposes). Finalists will be presented at various Chamber and school recognition ceremonies in April/May.
