The Communities Foundation of Texas has been a partner with local individuals, families and businesses for raising the quality of life in the Texas community since 1953. Providing scholarships to deserving students is an important part of this mission, in the hopes that financial assistance will help these students to reach their full potential in high schools, colleges and continuing education across the country. This scholarship is awarded each year to students in the Dallas-Fort Worth area who are enrolled in paralegal programs at the following area institutions: Collin County Community College, El Centro Community College, Everest College, Southeastern Career Institute, Tarrant County College, Texas Wesleyan University, ITT Technical, Kaplan College, Lawyer’s Assistant School, Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M Commerce, Westwood College and Texas Woman’s University. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and demonstrate unmet financial need.
