Description: The James Beard Foundation provides scholarships, tuition waivers and grants which vary in their eligibility criteria. Awards range from $2,000 to $20,000. In general, applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a culinary program at an accredited institution in fall 2020. This foundation offers a variety of scholarships.

Application requirements for the James Beard Foundation Scholarship Program are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Official Transcript.
  • Essay
Additional Information: The program is administered by International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. (ISTS), an independent company that specializes in managing sponsored educational assistance programs. Applicants must complete the online application process hosted by ISTS to be considered for an award. An independent selection committee will evaluate applications and select recipients considering: • Academic achievements and records • Work history and background • Community involvement • Essay content • Recommendation(s) • Financial need
