Foundation of Flexographic Technical Association

Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be a current college sophomore or junior to apply for this junior and/or senior year award.
  4. Must be currently enrolled in flexography.

Description: U.S. college sophomores and juniors who are enrolled in a flexography program are eligible for this award.

Application requirements for the Rossini Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Recommendation letters (3)
  • Project
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: The project must culminate in a final research paper that adheres to recognized research writing standards. APA documentation format must be used. The final results will be published in FLEXO Magazine. In addition to the monetary award, recipients will be provided with an all expense paid trip to the FFTA Annual Forum, March 6-9 in Fort Worth, TX. The recipients will be announced at the Forum and will have until late fall of the award year to complete their projects. There will be a special presentation at the Annual Banquet by Mr. & Mrs. Rossini to all the recipients.

Award Amount: The first place recipient will receive $10,000 and the second place recipient will receive $7,500. In addition, the first place institution will receive $3,000 and the second place institution will receive $2,000.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $8,750.

Applications are available online from the Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit a personal statement, three letters of recommendation (sent directly to FTA headquarters), transcripts and a project addressing an issue/topic/problem facing the flexographic industry. All application materials must be submitted online by the deadline date.
