Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Ventura County, CA.
  2. Must be a college junior or senior.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must be majoring in education.

Description: The Delta Kappa Gamma Recruitment Grant Scholarship Fund is available for Ventura County residents who are college juniors or seniors and majoring in education. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: The Delta Kappa Gamma Recruitment Grant Scholarship Fund is provided annually to Ventura County residents who are enrolled as upper-class undergraduates and pursuing a degree in teaching. Award selection will focus on the quality of submitted essays as well as the applicant's demonstrated academic achievements and unmet financial need. Although financial need is not required for eligibility, it will be considered during the selection process.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Additional information and details about the Delta Kappa Gamma Recruitment Grant Scholarship Fund are available online at the Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF) website. To apply for this scholarship, students must complete all sections of the online application form. Applicants must also submit an original essay in response to the award's topic, as well as two letters of recommendation. At least one letter of recommendation must be submitted by a current faculty member at the school the student is attending. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
