Number of Awards & Eligibility: One scholarship will be provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Ventura County, CA.
  2. Must be a college junior or senior.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Must be majoring in education.

Description: The Delta Kappa Gamma Recruitment Grant Scholarship Fund is available for female Ventura County residents who are college juniors or seniors and majoring in education. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Delta Kappa Gamma Recruitment Grant Scholarship Fund are:

Additional Information: Awarded to a female Ventura County resident who is a current college sophomore or junior or senior enrolled at an accredited 4-year college/university pursuing any degree for a career in Teaching. Current college senior must be enrolled/enrolling in a credential program. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a fulltime student when receiving the award in the fall. While not required, financial need of the applicant will be a consideration. Prior recipients may re-apply for consideration in successive years.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Additional information and details about the Delta Kappa Gamma Recruitment Grant Scholarship Fund are available online at the Ventura County Community Foundation (VCCF) website. To apply for this scholarship, students must complete all sections of the online application form. Applicants must also submit an original essay in response to the award's topic, as well as two letters of recommendation. At least one letter of recommendation must be submitted by a current faculty member at the school the student is attending.
