Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must meet admissions requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida.
  4. Must earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must be enrolled as an undergraduate junior or senior in the UNF College of Education and Human Services.
  6. Must major in elementary education.
  7. Must enroll full time (12 credit hours) each semester and earn 24 credits by the end of each academic year.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate juniors and seniors who are enrolled in the University of North Florida College of Education and Human Services. Students must major in elementary education and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Additional Information: Recipients are chosen by a selection committee. Students will be notified of their selection status in April or May. Recipients will be recognized at an awards reception in the fall. Students must attend the awards reception as a condition of receiving the scholarship or fellowship. Recipients must meet the following responsibilities: maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the semester(s) the award is used; consent to release grades to the Division of Institutional Advancement for the purpose of reporting to the donor; comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus; and remain in good standing as a student.

Award Amount: $1,200 annually, disbursed in equal installments in fall and spring semesters. Current recipients may apply for renewal and will be given preference, pending availability of funding, and if all scholarship requirements have been met. No student will be eligible to receive more than four semesters of scholarship support.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,200.
