Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a high school senior OR a current/returning college student with two or more years of academic college-level work yet to complete at time of application.
  4. Must have a desire and intention to pursue a professional career in the areas of aviation management, aeronautics, aerospace engineering, aeronautical mechanics and electronics, or other related fields.
  5. Must attend or be admitted to a college or university on a full-time basis in the fall semester.

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. high school seniors and current/returning college students who have at least two years of academic college-level work yet to complete. Additional Information: The California Capital Airshow Scholarship promotes interest in aviation and aerospace careers in the Sacramento region. The scholarship has been created to encourage young people to pursue careers in aviation, aeronautics, or aerospace related fields. Priorities in awarding scholarships will include: desire and intention to pursue a professional career in the areas of aviation management, aeronautics, aerospace engineering, aeronautical mechanics and electronics, or other related fields; interest in and progress toward related educational goals; potential for academic excellence; and prior experience in related field.

Award Amount: $500 - $1,500 for 2-year college & $500 - $8,000 for 4-year college or university  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $9,500.
