Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually. Last year, 12 awards were offered.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a United States citizen, national, or resident alien. A resident alien must include a letter of the nominee's intent to become a United States citizen and a photocopy of the Alien Registration Card.
  3. Must be enrolled in a heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) program at an accredited institution.
  4. Must be a current college student to apply for this award.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Additional Information: The Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation was established to assist with the recruitment and competency of future heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians by awarding scholarships to qualified students who are enrolled in an institutionally accredited school.

Award Amount: Up to $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications are available online from the The Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation website. In addition to the completed application, the student must submit transcripts; two letters of recommendation; an essay of no more than 500 words on why this scholarship should be awarded to him/her; and a copy of his/her alien registration card (if applicable). Applications must be submitted online by the deadline date. Letters of recommendation must be submitted by the recommender to the provided email address.
