The Dallas Foundation
Up to $2,000 per semester, renewable for three additional semesters. The student must be enrolled full time, maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher, and submit a grade report within 45 days after the end of each semester to continue receiving the scholarship.
One award offered annually.
Students must demonstrate financial need. Special consideration may be given to applicants residing in counties in the service area of the North Texas Tollway Authority: Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant counties. Residency in these counties is not a requirement to apply for the scholarship. The scholarship committee may choose to conduct interviews, either in person or by telephone, with applicants. The recipients of the Jere W. Thompson, Jr., Scholarship will be given an opportunity for a paid internship in the Dallas area with one of the scholarship's sponsors during the summer between the students' junior and senior years. The work offered during the internship will be relevant to the student's course of study.
