In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be working toward a master's degree.
  4. Must major in mechanical engineering.
  5. Must be enrolled full time.

Additional Information: This scholarship was made possible by the ASME Auxiliary to honor Marjorie Roy Rothermel. Applicants must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited school for the upcoming academic year. Information regarding accreditation status is available online at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx. Applicants also must have established a grade point average in their degree programs to qualify. If applicants have not established a grade point average at the college level, they are not eligible to apply. All applicants will be notified of the scholarship results between June 15 and July 1. Scholarship money will be sent to scholarship winners by the end of August.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, non-renewable. Scholarship awardees from past years will not be selected to receive additional scholarships. Students must apply again each year.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $6,000.
