Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a college sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student.
  4. Must be pursuing an engineering degree.
  5. Must plan to enroll full time.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Application requirements for the Professional Engineers in Industry (PEI) Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Recommendation letter (2)
  • Resume
Additional Information: If two applicants are evaluated to be equal, preference will be given to children/grandchildren of PEI members.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

Additional information is available online from the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) website. A member of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) must sponsor the student, unless the student is a member of NSPE, in which case he may sponsor himself. The student must submit a completed application and the following items: two letters of recommendation (should be from professors in the student's field of engineering or appropriate math/science professors), an official transcript, a resume, and an essay (500 words or less) discussing the student's interest in engineering. The completed application and all supporting documents must be emailed or mailed, received by the deadline date.
