Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a female.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
  4. Must be a resident of New Jersey.
  5. Must enroll full time.
  6. Must be an incoming or current college freshman at time of application. The student must be in a position to accept the scholarship for the school year in which it is being awarded.
  7. Must plan to major in engineering or engineering technology (any field).
  8. Must be a U.S. citizen.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for female incoming and current college freshmen whose home state is New Jersey. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and plan to major in engineering or engineering technology.

Additional Information: Applicants must not be receiving full funding for education (tuition, fees, and books or equivalent) from their school or another organization (e.g., members of the Armed Services attending U.S. military academies, students receiving full reimbursement from an employer). Applicants must be enrolled in a program accredited by ABET. Accreditation information for specific programs is available online at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.

In addition to completing the online application, the student must upload the following documents: current official transcripts from all schools attended; a letter of acceptance to an ABET-accredited college or university; and a resume. The student must also submit email contact information for two letters of recommendation. One letter must be from a teacher in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) field who is familiar with the student's work. The other letter must be from a person who has known the student for two or more years and who is not a relative or member of the student's family. Recommenders will be sent information regarding submission of their letters; the letters are due approximately one week after the student's application deadline. The online application and all required supporting materials must be submitted by 5 p.m. CT on the deadline date.
