  1. Must plan to attend Vernon College.
  2. Must be a high school senior.
  3. Must reside in Archer or Wichita Counties in Texas.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher.

Description: The Katherine and Bill McGregor Scholarship is available for high school seniors in Archer and Wichita Counties in Texas who have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher and plans to attend Vernon College.

Additional Information: The Katherine and Bill McGregor Scholarship is provided annually through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation, and seeks to reward local area high school students who show a combination of academic achievement and unmet financial need. To be eligible for this program, applicants must be current high school seniors in Archer, Texas and must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher. Applicants must pursue an accredited vocational degree program or certification at Vernon College.

Award Amount: Award amounts and renewability are variable depending upon each recipient's demonstrated financial need.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

The Katherine and Bill McGregor Scholarship has closed for 2019 but the deadline is expected to remain the same in 2020. Please check back in January when applications are scheduled to become available. Applications, instructions, and complete details about the Katherine and Bill McGregor Scholarship are available online at the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation website. To be considered for a scholarship through the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation, students must first complete the online general application form. Upon completion, students will be notified of which individual scholarships they are eligible for, and what additional application materials (if any) are required to apply for each program.
