Number of Awards & Eligibility: Three scholarships are awarded this year.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must have a grade point average of 2.85 or higher.
  2. Must be a sophomore, junior, or senior.
  3. Must be a current member of Women in Animation (WIA).
  4. Must be female.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Women in Animation (WIA) Animation Scholarship is open to sophomore to senior women (or those identifying as female) who are full time students at an accredited institute of learning and are majoring in animation. Applicants pursuing many interests including visual development, animation and storyboarding are encouraged to apply.

Application requirements for the Women in Animation (WIA) Animation Scholarship are:

Additional Information: The Women in Animation (WIA) Animation Scholarship is an annual award committed to furthering up to three deserving animation students who demonstrate artistic talent, a passion for animation, a financial need, and a promising future in the field of animation. Applicants coming from schools all over the world pursuing many interests including visual development, animation and storyboarding are encouraged to apply.

Award Amount: The scholarship award is $1,500.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.

Applicants fill out a form on the provider website. In addition to the completed form, each student submits a 500-word essay, a photo and two letters of recommendation and portfolio. You will also need to submit proof of enrollment as a full time student (copy of class schedule) and School Picture ID. All applications and materials must be received by the deadline.
