Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must be a college junior or senior at the time of application.
  4. Must be a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
  5. Must be majoring in public relations, journalism, communications, advertising or marketing.
  6. Must have previous work or internship experience in public relations and/or marketing.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for undergraduate students majoring in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field. Preference will be given to students who promote diversity in the profession, as well as students with residency ties to Florida, Georgia or Missouri.

Additional Information: This scholarship will be awarded to students who demonstrate a passion for public relations as well as a dedication to professional ethics and excellence. In line with the PRSA Foundation mission and Axia's commitment to diversity, Axia Public Relations encourages candidates from all ethnic backgrounds to apply. Entries will be judged by a committee of seasoned public relations professionals. Preference may be given to applicants who promote diversity, as well as students with residency in Florida, Georgia or Missouri.

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications are available online from the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) website. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must submit the following materials: a resume including any academic honors, special projects, activities, work experience, or training that he/she would like to be taken into consideration; essay responses to the prompts described within the application; and three strong writing samples. All applications and supporting materials must be submitted online prior to the deadline date.
