Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a college junior or senior during the year of the scholarship.
  2. Must be a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must be planning to pursue a career in public relations.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. college juniors and seniors who are majoring in public relations, journalism, or a related field. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate a passion for pursuing a career in public relations.

Additional Information: This scholarship is provided in honor of Robin M. Urbanski-Janikowski, a seasoned public relations professional, well respected by national media and her internal clients, for her responsiveness, tenacity and candid approach. Robin is remembered as someone who loved the field of public relations, a profession in which she excelled, and in memory of that love, this scholarship is provided annually to students who share a commitment to public relations.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available online from the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) website. In addition to a completed application, the applicant must submit the following materials: a resume including any academic honors, special projects, activities, work experience, or training that he/she would like to be taken into consideration; an official transcript of all college studies, including grades of the preceding semester; an essay of no more than two pages stating his/her career goals; and one letter of academic and/or professional recommendation (sent directly to the PRSSA headquareters by the recommender). All applications and supporting materials must be submitted online by the deadline date.
