Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  3. Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at time of application.
  4. Must be studying in a field related to alliance building, counterintelligence, cultural understanding, and/or national security.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Thomas Knowlton Award recognizes those individuals who have significantly contributed to the promotion of Army Intelligence. U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who are studying in fields related to alliance building, counterintelligence, cultural understanding, and national security.

Additional Information: This scholarship is dedicated in honor of Staff Sgt. Richard Eaton, a United States Army Counterintelligence Special Agent and Bronze Star recipient who died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, on Aug. 12, 2003. Scholarship winners will receive the opportunity to have a mentor from the counterintelligence or national security profession sponsored by The Lint Center for National Security Studies, Inc.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available online on the Lint Center website. The completed application package should be submitted with the online application form. Hard copy applications will be accepted, but digital submission is preferred.
