Description: GAR Disability Advocates ™ is a specialized advocacy firm located in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. Each year, they fulfill the goal to help more students who are passionate about law pursue a degree by sponsoring a $1,000 scholarship, awarded to one law student, to be put toward their law school costs.

Application requirements for the GAR Disability Advocates ™ Scholarship are:

  • Essay
  • Application form
  • Personal statement
Additional Information: Applicants must be enrolled or accepted to an accredited law school in the United States as of the fall 2020 semester. To apply, you must fill out a form on the provider website and must write an essay of no more than 500 words on the following prompt: How has someone with a disability affected you? This can be yourself or someone you know. If you are close to anyone who gets disability benefits, how would their life be different without those benefits? The most compelling and well-written essay as judged by the GAR Disability Advocates Team will receive the scholarship of $1,000.

Award Amount: Winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
