Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must be an undergraduate or graduate student at the time of application.
  4. Must be majoring in law, medicine, nursing, or special education.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The HIE Help Center Scholarship is available for U.S. undergraduate students who are majoring in law, medicine, and special education. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher.

Application requirements for the HIE Help Center Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Essay
  • Official Transcript
Additional Information: This scholarship is provided by the HIE Help Center to increase awareness and understanding of preventable injuries like hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). Applicants may not be past, present or future clients of Reiter & Walsh, P.C.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and information about this award can be found online at the HIE Help Center website using the link provided. To be considered for an award, students must submit the following: a completed application form; official records of all academic work completed; and a creative submission that describes the applicant's experience with birth injuries. Creative submissions may be in essay, video, or picture format and may describe a personal or professional experience. All submissions should be emailed to [email protected] Documents that cannot be submitted digitally (such as certified transcripts) may be mailed to the listed postal address. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted no later than the deadline date.
