Description: The "Eddie" Eyyad Almargi Pedestrian Awareness Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors, undergraduates, graduate students, and law school students in the United States. To apply, applicants must submit an original essay on the dangers pedestrians face when crossing streets, and how drivers can help to minimize those dangers.

Additional Information: The "Eddie" Eyyad Almargi Pedestrian Awareness Scholarship is provided each year in memory of "Eddie" Eyyad Almargi and to advance knowledge of the dangers that pedestrians face when sharing roads with cars. Essays will be evaluated based on the strength of content, ability to address the listed topics, spelling, and proper use of grammar.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Application instructions and additional information about The 'Eddie" Eyyad Almargi Pedestrian Awareness Scholarship are available online at the Tomkiel & Tomkiel website. There is no specific application form for this scholarship. To apply, applicants must submit the following items via email: personal contact information; an essay of approximately 750 words in length; a recent resume; and a copy of transcripts for all academic work completed. Essays must address the dangers that pedestrians face while crossing roads and ways that drivers can help to reduce those risks. All materials must be submitted as a single email.
