Number of Awards & Eligibility: The number of awards offered varies annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident.
  3. Must be an undergraduate student of at least sophomore standing or a graduate student.
  4. Must major in pharmacy.
  5. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  6. Must be enrolled at one of the following eligible institutions: Chicago State University, Florida A&M University, Howard University, Texas Southern University, Xavier University of Louisiana.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in pharmacy at Chicago State Univ., Fla. A&M Univ., Howard Univ., Tex. S. Univ., or Xavier Univ.-LA. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and unmet financial need.

Additional Information: CVS Caremark has a commitment to widening the net of student scholars in pharmacy industries. As such, they have partnered with UNCF to create scholarships for students studying pharmacy. All students must have demonstrate unmet financial need (as verified by their college or university).

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.

Applications are available online on the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) website. Students must apply via the UNCF online application system. Each student must submit a resume, essay, and unofficial transcript with the application for full consideration. Each student must also request a reference to complete a reference form through the UNCF online system. Applications close at 11:59 p.m. EST on the deadline date.
