Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award provided annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend a college or university in Michigan.
  2. This award is available for U.S. students.
  3. Must be a college junior or senior during the year of award.
  4. Must be majoring in a construction field.
  5. Must demonstrate an interest in concrete.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for students who are enrolled in their junior or senior year of undergraduate studies at a college or university in Michigan. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 and must be pursuing a major related to construction.

Application requirements for the ACI West Michigan Chapter Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Recommendation letter
  • Transcript
Additional Information: The ACI West Michigan Chapter Scholarship is presented annually to a student pursuing a course of study directly related to the construction industry at a college or university within the State of Michigan.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and additional information about this award are available on the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Western Michigan Chapter website at the address provided above. In addition to a completed application form, students must submit a current copy of all academic records from institutions of higher education attended, as well as at least one letter of reference from a professor or employer who is familiar with the student's work and career goals. Letters of reference must be sent directly by the recommender to the ACI. All applications and supporting documents, including letters of recommendation, must be received by the deadline date. Incomplete and late applications cannot be considered.
