American Hotel and Lodging Educational Foundation (AH&LEF)
The first-place winner receives a $5,000 scholarship. The second-place winner receives a $3,000 scholarship. The third-place winner receives a $2,000 scholarship. All awards are non-renewable.

This scholarship honors Arthur J. Packard, who never waited for the lodging industry to ask him to volunteer his time and boundless energy. A third-generation hotelier, his work for AH&LA extended over 30 years, one of the longest on record. Students are evaluated based on academics, related work experience, extracurricular activities, financial need, honors, and personal attributes.
