$5,000 annually, non-renewable. Scholarship awardees from past years will not be selected to receive additional scholarships. Students must apply again each year.
Two awards offered annually, one to an undergraduate student and one to a graduate student.
Applicants must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited school for the upcoming academic year. Information regarding accreditation status is available online at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx. The award recipients will be selected on the basis of leadership, scholastic ability, potential contribution to the mechanical engineering profession, and financial need. Volunteer work to benefit others through at least one of the two societies (ASME and SHPE) is highly desirable. All applicants will be notified of the scholarship results between June 15 and July 1. Scholarship money will be sent to scholarship winners by the end of August.
