Number of Awards & Eligibility: Up to eight awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be enrolled in and attending undergraduate or graduate college classes at the time of application.
  3. Must be enrolled on a full- or part-time basis.
  4. Must create and submit a video of five minutes or less on the theme, "One Person Can Make a Difference".

Description: Undergraduate and graduate students may enter this video contest. The student must make a short video of five minutes or less interpreting the theme "One Person Can Make a Difference".

Application requirements for the Christophers Video Contest for College Students are:

  • Official entry form
  • Video
Additional Information: Entries will be judged on overall impact, effectiveness in conveying theme, artistic merit and technical proficiency. A Blue Ribbon Jury comprised of representatives from the media, academia and The Christophers' staff will make the final selection of winners. Judges' decisions are final. Videos become the property of The Christophers and will not be returned. Winners will be announced by April 30.

Award Amount: Awards are distributed as follows: first prize, $2,000; second prize, $1,000; and third prize, $500 and up to five $100 runner up awards. All awards are made on an annual basis and are non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $500.

Entry forms are available on the Christophers website by clicking the 'Youth' headline. To enter, students must interpret the theme, 'One Person Can Make a Difference,' in a short film of five minutes or less. Entries must be uploaded onto the Christopher's website or sent as a link to your video to the email [email protected] with the Subject Heading: 32nd Annual Video Contest. Each entry must include the entrant's name, address and telephone number, as well as the title and length of the entry. Entrants who do not obtain and cannot provide written documentation of all necessary rights and permissions for music, images, video clips and any and all other non-original aspects of their entry will be disqualified. An official entry form must accompany each video. All entries must be submitted online through the application webform and must be received by the deadline date.
