Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants (COCPA)
$2,500 annually, non-renewable. The student may reapply each time the scholarship is offered. No preference is given to students who have already received a scholarship. Funds are paid directly to the school and may be applied to textbooks and CPA review materials purchased through the school, tuition and fees, and dormitory room and board. After one year, any remaining funds must be returned to the Educational Foundation.
Approximately 15 to 20 awards offered annually.
This program includes the Mark J. Smith Scholarship. This scholarship is designated for a student from a single-parent household and is based on academics and financial need. Due to the restrictions of Colorado Constitutional Amendment 41, the Educational Foundation cannot award scholarships to public officers, members of the Colorado General Assembly, local government officials, government employees, or their spouses or dependent children. These restrictions may not apply to certain home rule counties or home rule municipalities.
