Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher.
  3. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  4. Must be majoring in civil, construction, or architectural engineering.
  5. Must be a college senior during the year of the award.
  6. Must enroll full time.
  7. Must have work experience with, and must plan to pursue a career related to concrete.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for college seniors who are majoring in civil, construction, or architectural engineering, with a focus on a career involving reinforced concrete. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and must have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher.

Additional Information: This scholarship was founded by CSRI to encourage and foster the academic development of young engineers and constructors who demonstrate a potential to contribute to the reinforced concrete industry. Selection will be based on academic performance, work experience and references, as well as clarity of career goals and aspirations in reinforced concrete.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.

Applications and information about this award are available on the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CSRI) at the adddress provided above. In addition to the completed application form, students must submit a cover letter describing their interests and career goals, a short summary of their work experience in the concrete industry, as well as three letters of recommendation and contact information for the three individuals providing reference. Two letters must be written by faculty members who are familiar with the student's academic work, and one must be written by a current or former employer who is familiar with the student's professional work. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
